Wyndham Virginia Beach Oceanfront

I left belongings in my room and the cleaning staff stole them or threw them away. The front desk was very dismissive and was annoyed that I was calling trying to collect my belongings multiple times I even called within an hour of checking out before the room was cleaned for the day and told them I had to drive out of town but I'd be back by nighttime. They said they'd tell the cleaning staff to bring the belongings down but when I showed up that night they did not and I was just seen as annoying. At that point that I wanted to check myself. Long story short my stuff was either stolen or thrown away. Very unsatisfied. I'll never return to this hotel.

The air conditioning would go in and out. When asked if we could change room a quick response was given that there were no availability and we could see the hotel had 2 rooms left for booking. Maintenance was sent out twice to do a quick fix. Then the toilet would not flush for 8 hours, had to use hotel restroom till ours was fixed. Staff was not quick to resolve, made us feel like we were bothering g them with the hotel issues.

The hotel was really nice. I loved how clean and soft the beds were. BUT I must say the room location was horrible. It was right by the stairs and the door to the steps would slam so loudly when people walk through. Total disturbance. Another thing

The view from the room (oceanfront) Just about everything else. It was dated, dirty, poorly held together, appeared to be maintenanced using the most inexpensive upkeep

They upgraded us after our original room with the malfunctioning jacuzzi The elevator didn’t work. Location was less the desirable. Main reason we booked for our anniversary was the jacuzzi in the room-didn’t work.

I loved how security and hotel staff kept the hotel so safe and we’re aware of everything going on even though it’s a huge hotel. I appreciated the front desk, staff accommodating, our needs and being very kind.

Had to go down 11 floors to get ice from restaurant and the restaurant staff was not thrilled to assist. Layout of place confusing for parking and checking in.

The beach was very nice but there were no chairs even on the deck. The staff acted like they didn’t want to be there except for the restaurant staff. Guy our server was great.

well they do not clean rooms, you have to request to have room cleaned and we called 2 times and in our 4 day stay they never came once to clean, balcony above us had water pouring down onto ours so we could not go out there, toilet over flowed 2 times, called to speak with manager Dawn whom was not accommodating at all and instead of trying to do something for us she said she will call housekeeping see why they did not come, instead of accommodating us , she just simple said sorry, VERY unprofessional and rude. I am or shall i say WAS a good customer but after this I will find another place to stay in the future. so if you want a clean, relaxing, non-stressful place to stay i suggest not staying here

The property was kind of old looking on the outside, but the rooms were clean and bathrooms very clean. Staff was very friendly. So would recommend this hotel!

Clean, balcony view easy access to entrance and parking!

The location on the beach and people running the breakfast room were nice. Check in and check out were easy. The hotel is in serious need of renovation and better maintenance. I had difficulty opening and closing the door, the shower was old, and the sound insulation was poor. There was also a lack of attention to basic details, such as the pillowcases, which were too small for the pillows and kept slipping off. The staff in the breakfast room were super friendly, but the breakfast itself left much to be desired. Fresh bread and pastries, oats or cereal, and better-quality scrambled eggs, would have been nice to have.

Staff was friendly. Great location The room had a wet/musty smell and there was mold around the ceiling. Housekeeping did come and sprayed the room that helped the smell. But, I kept the balcony door open as a precaution.

Beachside Halls smelled like mildew

The jacuzzi room was perfect for my husband and I. I like everything!

It was ok. The pancakes were hard and we had to ask for bacon to be cook more. But the service was great. I didn't like the dogs in the bar well I was eating. And the pool was very small. The elevators were a little suspect. And they needed to dust the place more offen. The furniture was out dated and dirty I had to lay a towel over before I set down. The place just need to be upgraded. The bathroom near the bar area was the best spot. You can tell that it was upgraded clean and new. So the rest of the Hotel needs to match.

Safe location. The hotel was overall fine. Rooms could definitely use a remodel.

location was great as, housekeeping can do better, they only came in and changed towels, we had to have someone come back to clean and disinfect. and parking was atrocious, not enough handicap parking close to the entrance.
