Unity Hotel and Conference Ctr, an Ascend Collection Hotel

What a beautiful place to stay in for a wedding weekend! Very conveniently located to the ceremony and on a beautiful property! The staff couldn’t be more accommodating and friendly!! Highly recommend!

The hotel cleanliness, staff friendliness, and work out facility was outstanding.

Excellent hotel.

At 3 am when we finally arrived, someone was there with a smile to check us in and welcome us. Thank you!

The staff was very accommodating. We enjoyed our stay there.

I am shocked at how high of stars this hotel had when it is average at best. The hotel is a whole complex which was difficult to navigate and even find the hotel. It is on a beautiful property, but the beds feel like you’re laying on cheap plastic and the breakfast is disappointing. (No waffle maker, which is always what I’m looking for at hotel breakfast). Overall it was a fine overnight but certainly does not deserve the excellent rating listed. Okay at best

Breakfast is not good.

The grounds surrounding the historic buildings were immaculate and picturesque. It would be a beautiful place to host an event and take magical pictures, We had fun exploring with the grandchildren. However the hotel itself needs updating. The staff was very friendly and helpful but a few things were dissapointing. The beds were very uncomfortable. I had to cut our visit short so that was very disappointing. Wished I could have spent all the time in the common spaces that were so peaceful but after full days we needed a goodnight sleep and we felt we got short end with hard beds. They had wonderful front desk and very helpful staff.

What i liked best was the hotel appears to be all one level. 1st floor rooms mean nobody running or stomping while you try to sleep.

Exceptional

Everything in the room was high quality. This hotel is different than most others. It’s like it’s a “ not for profit” hotel made for Unity menbers and other lucky attendees who happen to find it. Don’t spread the word because that could mean people would come who wouldn’t respect the ambiance.

The motion sensor light by the door turns on when getting up at night

This hotel is the hidden gem of Kansas City. The setting is beautiful. Well maintained and staff is the best! The ONLY place I stay when in KC! Theres nothing to not like!

We had a problem with our tv and the staff was extremely diligent in trying to solve it and ultimately moved us to another (nicer) room. The breakfast had some allergy friendly options. We also enjoyed the nature trail on site.
