The whole experience was wonderful. Staff couldn’t have any nicer.

This was my first time at Avista and in Myrtle Beach all together. The stay went well, the room was clean and in order. The view from the South tower gave a partial ocean view with the next door parking lot and front street view as well. I have heard that the North tower is the better in terms of a full ocean view. In the evening, although some nightlife is close, the street closure that particular weekend and the very chilly weather prohibited walking. The parking downtown is horrible though, vehicles everywhere and very tight parking lot areas. The food places were decent and had to learn that the term calabash was applied to nearly Every seafood spot there - so not just one restaurant with that name (it's a style of cooking seafood apparently). I would definitely return, select a different tower though - the check-in is a little wonky too, the downstairs underground garage where you park temporarily so you can go inside and check-in for keys then you park across the street in a separate garage - it's extremely tight and the 2-way in/out is truly made for one vehicle at a time.

Clean and location The on site eatery was not at all good.

When we booked through Expedia the room shown was straight ocean view, not a side view. When my husband questioned the room the lady at the counter told him you booked through Expedia and there was nothing she could do.

The location not to crowded The couches need to be cleaned a little cleaner and spray for germs...

We had a corner room facing the street but you could still see the ocean. The room should not have been decleared an "ocean view" room. Outside of that everything else was as we had experienced before ... great. One bedroom condo is ok but the 2 bedroom condo is better. You want to get a room where you can see the pool as the resort occasional has events going on at the pool and you can watch them from your balcony. We dont really use any of the amenities, we eat in our room, go out and go to the beach. The ramps to the beach seem more convienent than other resorts. Not sure why, they are all about the same. If you decide to stay here, get a 2 bedroom condo and it will be hard to stay in any other type of room. Sofa couches suck and they do here too, the cushions are always worn out. They need replaced with a regular couch. I know they put sofa couches in for the money - they count it as a bed - but the owners should think of the renters comfort. We've stayed here 2x within 3 months. We will again next month

I didn't have the breakfast, but ordered DoorDash to the room and there was plenty of options I absolutely hated the parking. It took about five minutes to get up to the tippy top to find a spot during the off-season so I can't even imagine what it's like in summer. The parking underneath the hotel where you can stay for 20 minutes while you check-in is just as bad because there is absolutely no room to turn around to exit.
