The lodge was in a great location, The rooms were outdated but the lobby and restaurants were nice. It was walking distance to most of the sites and it also provided a bus to take you around the property which was a nice bonus.
-
Amazing location! We really enjoyed our stay, the room was good & check in/checkout was a breeze! Loved staying near the store, the tavern connected to the hotel check in area was also super good!
-
I would stay here again. The lodge needs an entire refurbishment - very worn and run down everywhere

The hotel isn't fancy but it was clean and a great location!

Property canceled due to water emergency. Can not rate.

We didn’t stay at the property because of the flood. The hotel was close down..but they nicely transferred us to another hotel outside the park. Which is really helped us and made our trip smooth. We are really appreciate.

Nice property in the middle of the forest.

Nice little hotel stay in park, super convenient location. Didn’t love trecking my luggage up paths, etc. after long drive but it was ok. In the woods a bit which was nice. Didn’t love that rooms were in different location than lobby, restaurant, etc. Had to drive back and forth. If I had to do it again, I’d pay more and stay on the rim for the ultimate experience. I think it would totally be worth it.

The Yavapai is a lovely motel which gives summer camp vibes with its cinderblock buildings and multi-cabin layout. It was very clean and, other than our outdoor ice machine not functioning (though we found ice at a nearby cabin), everything was great. It’s not as glamorous as some of the other accommodations available within Grand Canyon National Park, but they did allow us to bring our cats with us for a small fee, which was a necessity for us as we were driving across the country to my daughter’s college campus. The celestial views were absolutely incredible, I don’t remember the last time I’ve seen so many stars in the sky!

I am unable to review this. Sadly, the lodge was impacted by the recent flood and we were moved to outside the park. After seeing it, I would probably recommend staying outside the park where we were located because there were more restaurants and probably better lodging. But, unfair of me to say that since we did not actually get to stay there.

Old lodge but well located in the park. There are better options near the entrance of the park with more restaurants and upgraded facilities.

Everything was great!

We loved staying here! What a sweet place! The room was clean and comfortable, and you could walk for miles and see wildlife. We really enjoyed this place! And of course the Grand Canyon was magnificent!

Unable to get into our room until after 8 pm

The walk to the canyon visitor center and rim views are an easy walk on a paved path. The room is very nice and even includes a dog crate in a pet friendly room. Parking is easy and plentiful. Great place to stay when visiting Grand Canyon.

This place was outstanding. It is hard to say enough good things about this place. It is well situated within the park, but not a 'short walk' to many of the sites. There is a shuttle stop that is easily accessible. The room was nice and adequate. It isn't the Ritz Carlton, but that's the point! There is a large General Store across the parking lot from the restaurant and tavern, and it is extremely well stocked with items. The restaurant, cafe and tavern are excellent, but what really stands out and shines are the people. The managers, supervisors, restaurant workers, bartenders and barkeeps are all top notch and offered a superior level of service and outstanding attitude. We experienced the flash flood and power outage (featured on the news), but that didn't slow them down or diminish their spirit or level of service, either! If I return to the Grand Canyon and need a place to stay, I would book the Yavapai Lodge as my first choice due to the outstanding experience I had this time.
