Hilton Garden Inn Hartford South/Glastonbury

Very clean and nicely appointed room We were told after serving ourselves breakfast that it wasn’t included in our room rate which was $350 a night. We had not even gotten to a table yet to eat and ended up putting our plates down and leaving. It was highly unprofessional and very embarrassing.

Property was inviting and in a great location. The room was clean and spacious. It had a sitting Bench and keurig machine. The bathroom was very nice with body wash, shampoo, and conditioner provided. Bath towels were nice and huge! Staff was friendly and very accommodating. Free parking and large parking lot was available. They have a for-purchase breakfast in a dining area. Food was cooked when ordered. Omelette was exceptional! I would love to stay there again! Our night stay was comfortable. Beds were comfortable. Shower was hot. Unfortunately, the toilet ran, and we had to fix it and the comforter on one of the beds was dirty. Also, extremely disappointed that for the price of the hotel breakfast was not included.

I booked this room roughly two weeks before the expected date for a keynote I was hosting for an annual banquet. However, when I brought my keynote the hotel, we received a paper that said "due to unforseen circumstances, we're re-booking you." I then had to bring them to a much lesser quality hotel, at which point we were informed that we were likely overbooked. This was not okay - CT is not an easy to get around place without a car, and had I not been nearby, this would've incurred additional uber costs. more than anything, your hotel let down my keynote, which then let down my agency. I've booked many people here in the past, and I will not going forward.

This was a very clean and well kept hotel. I would stay here again.

We traveled there for a family gathering. A nor'easter put a damper on many of our activities but we hung out in the ample lobby. Staff was helpful and friendly at every turn- front desk, housekeeping, even tech support! They really made the trip easy and fun.

We were told that breakfast was included. It is not! You have to pay for it separate

Nick gave great suggestions for dining off premises when we inquired. Studio was spacious and clean as per photo, but bathroom in room 317 is unfinished (empty doorless closet?) and toilet was very low. Also the position of safety bar on shower wall makes the average person feel crowded when facing the shower head. Although three appliances are provided (coffee maker, microwave and refrigerator) the outlet allows only two plugs. We were right next to the elevator, but didn't hear any noise. It may be that rooms with these issues are assigned to people who book via Expedia. Lobby was well maintained and renovations are complete. Decor is standard, out of the box, and is a bit dark. Touches of aqua or turquoise or seafoam would brighten the space. The mulch on islands in parking lot is piled high which causes a curve around the outer edges and uneven surface. My husband was careful upon approaching driver door of our car but lost footing and twisted lower left leg on Wednesday evening. He reported this unfortunate incident. The pain was excruciating. This is a safety concern.

It was okay, like higher end Holiday Inn, with prices to match.

Great place

Fantastic place! Super friendly staff. Smoking area on the patio which is wonderful for my cigar smoker. The renovation is beautiful. Comfy beds very clean rooms and the breakfast was delicious which was surprising for a hotel.

I would have given 5 stars as room was cleaned well, great food etc but they were repairing in rear of building and I was parked near door. They should have told me to move car as my car was covered in sanded paint dust when I came out my last am there. I almost had a heart attack as thought it was white paint. Should never have done the job with my expensive car so close.

I have never seen a hotel so clean before in my life. It was impressive
