Days Inn by Wyndham Erie

Had a short stay, arrived late and left early. Rooms were fine but very basic. Nothing special but served it's purpose of a place to sleep.

Always a great stay

The front desk clerk was nice It was dirty it smelled of marijuana and cigarette smoke, and the breakfast was horrible

What you would expect for $80/night. Dirty, loud and poorly maintained. I’m convinced my room was fish-bowled the night before I came. If you are sensitive to smells, like cleanliness or hate loud noise while trying to sleep, pay the extra $30 and sleep elsewhere.

Staff was nice, price was pretty good, bed was comfortable The shower was dirty with the last guest’s used soap left in the shower. Tub had dirt on it. 3 tissues left in the box. No refill. No cups for bathroom. Shampoo, shower gel thrown in a pile on sink counter.

Nice staff, entry way nice with covered area to unload and reload your things. Nice variety of teas. Good price. The light in the entry in our room was out. The seal around the sink was damaged and water would sometimes leak out onto the counter. Bathroom needed an exhaust fan. Everything is wet after a shower from the steam. Besides a bathroom should just have a fan for when BNs are stinky.

Had to get a refund because I did not get offered a cleaner room or anything after finding footprint stains on the pillows, hair all over, toilet was dirty, nothing was cleaned properly, stains on the sheets, found a bug leg on the bed and smelt like cigarette smoke. Didn’t even stay here and the staff was rude. This place should be out of business. Please don’t look at the price it’s not worth it. DONT STAY HERE.

The front desk guy was very nice My room smells like pee I had to get a different room then they booked me on the wrong dates I had to pay double and then at 5:30 in the morning I was getting bit by bed bugs which I have photos of even though booking.com didn't validate said they couldn't validate my claim which I showed the photos to the front desk guy and the bites that I had on my body and I have bites on my body still which I can show them pictures of but they didn't validate anything they couldn't validate my claim isn't that funny

room wasn’t cleaned

Good location No shower curtain on tub. Toilet lid was loose. Breakfast items were poor

The pictures online The pictures on line don’t even look the same as what we stayed at. Shower was dirty our towels looked like they cleaned the bathroom with them then hug up for us to use. The room gave us a headache from the smoke and Febreze smell. The hookers and drugs in the parking lot and hallways all hours of the night were very creepy. I would have felt safer sleeping in my truck on the side of the road. I was up for two days only reason I stayed upon arrival I needed some sleep before getting back on the road to head home.

Bad

The beds were very comfortable. Softest water I've ever showered with. No fridge in the rooms, no safety bars in the bathrooms, bottom of the tub was somewhat slippery.

We booked this room at the almost very last minute because we didn't want to drive home in the dark. We read the reviews and we know there are renovations going on. We knew they accepted long term stays. We knew the pool was closed. So we felt good about the expectations. Other reviews also warned that breakfast was limited to 1 item only. So. When I say our expectations were exceeded, this is why I rated it as high as I did. Breakfast was actively being restocked all the way until the end. The food was awesome. Yogurt, muffins, donuts poptarts, chex mix, orange juice, and other easy grab and go selections were available. Given the renovations, the options were awesome! The staff understood my daughter's disability needs and got us a room very close to the handicap parking and were very transparent about the doors near us and the remodel work. The staff were quick to help us and other guests. Very professional. The market was easy to use. The televisions had hulu and netflix available while renovations may be impacting the upgrades coming to the furniture and stuff. The staff were all very excited about the remodel being so close to done. The building is older and while waiting for some of the new furniture there were areas that were louder than others, and near the doors leading to the smoking area smoke smell was there, but it was not inside the hotel. The doors were secure, there was no bugs, and everything was clean. We had plenty of supplies- toilet paper, towels, shampoo etc in our rooms. Oh the beds are SUPER COMFY!! Like beyond expectations!! Renovations are hard on hotels because you have so many people coming and going while you have to make repairs and changes. But really, the hotel was great! Please be kind to staff because you can see the vision and once it's done it will just really be extra awesome I am sure.

The staff were friendly and helpful, and the hotel was conveniently located with easy access to the highway. However, the breakfast options were limited, there was no milk available for the oat mix, the dryer was not working, there was no body soap in the washroom, and the exhaust fan was not working.
